We believe safety isn't an accident - you have to work proactively to maintain a safe workplace and to train a safe workforce.  That is why we encourage our crew to better themselves by attending safety courses offered through organazations such as

Not only do we encourage our crew, we step up to the plate and pay for our crew to attend.  Further, a more trained crewmember will move up in the pay scale aboard the vessels.  It's a win-win-win.

Our first recruiting session of the year will take place in Kelso Washington on April 1st

1pm Red Lion Inn Kelso/Longview 510 Kelso Drive, Kelso, WA 98626

Leap Year - An Extra Day to Eat Healthy!

Fish is a good source of protein and, unlike fatty meat products, it’s not high in saturated fat. Fish is also a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids benefit the heart of healthy people, and those at high risk of — or who have — cardiovascular disease. Research has shown that omega-3 fatty acids decrease risk of arrhythmias (abnormal heartbeats), which can lead to sudden death.  Omega-3 fatty acids also decrease triglyceride levels, slow growth rate of atherosclerotic plaque, and lower blood pressure (slightly).

Go fish – The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least two times/servings per week.

Fishermen's Finest, a team of excellence, our name says it all.

The first crewshare settlements of the 2016 season will be issued this week - follow our calendar for updates as the year progresses.  We'd like to take this opportunity to remind our FFinest crew that we encourage you to enroll in direct deposit so that your funds will be in your account at midnight on payday.  As the saying goes, 'Get Direct Deposit and Get Paid Faster.'

This will also allow you to access your funds via internet connection aboard the vessels while at sea.  The days of 'the check's in the mail' are gone!

Fishermen's Finest, a team of excellence, our name says it all.

As is customary at Fishermen's Finest, we celebrate the Chinese New Year.  Based upon the lunar calendar, February 8th marks the beginning of the year of the Monkey.  It is customary to wish people 'Kung Hei Fat Choi' or 'Congratulations and best wishes for a prosperous new year.'  We wholeheartedly embrace this sentiment.

"Monkeys" are witty, intelligent and have a magnetic personality.
