Helmets to Hardhats

Although we've always been determined to 'Support our Troups,' over the past year or so, Fishermen's Finest has actively sought veterans for employment aboard our vessels, as we recruit around the United States.  You may have noticed 'Veterans encouraged to Apply' on our advertisements or @hireVets on our Twitter feeds for upcoming Employment Informational Meetings. At our recent visit with our friends at Martinac Shipyard, in support of their thanks to Senator Maria Cantwell for supporting New Vessel construction and promoting our American Fishing Vessel Rebuilding Project, Ms. Park was introduced to Chris Winters, Helmets to Hardhats contact for the Muscogee (creek) Tribe and tireless proponent for our returning Veterans, the Muscogee Tribe, and the South Seattle Community College (SSCC) Puget Sound Industrial Excellence Center. Mr. Winters was gracious to host Kristian Uri and Ms. Park today at the SSCC Georgetown Campus and give FFI a first hand account of all that Helmets to Hardhats and SSCC have to offer the future Fishers of the North Pacific.
