10 Years Rueben Anderson

Fishermen’s Finest lives by the adage, ‘good people are the key to our success.’

Rueben Anderson is just one of those very good people that make Fishermen’s Finest possible. Rueben was recruited in Bend Oregon over a decade ago and quickly proved himself aboard the US Intrepid. He was named crewmember of the quarter in 2011.

On Saturday, Ms. Park was up to visit Rueben and the other Fishermen’s Finest hotel quarantined crew, feeding them dinner and awarding Rueben with his 10 year Omega Seamaster Watch.

Rueben came to work for Fishermen’s Finest on the 1st rotation in 2010 as entry level processor. On his second contract, he started stacking the freezer hold and has stacked off and on for 8 years. In the last 10 years he’s been a Combi, Factory Engineer, Assistant Cook and even filled in as Head Cook on the American No. 1 to help the company out when needed. He’s a company man who takes care of his family as well - that’s the balance we try to promote at Fishermen’s Finest. As such he’s currently residing in Alabama, taking care of his mother while providing for the family by working at sea. Affectionately known as Uncle Ruru aboard the US Intrepid by his FFamily, if you see Rueben around the boat or in the shipyard, please congratulate him for his good work and dedication.

Good Job, Rueben - look forward to many more years working together.
