Chinese New Year

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Considered the king of all beasts, this year’s zodiac animal – the Tiger – is considered a sign of new beginnings.

Known for traits such as kindness, adventuresome, and enthusiasm, the Tiger also displays aggressive, short-tempered, and anxious traits.

At Fishermen’s Finest, as is our custom to acknowledge the Chinese New Year, we are going to focus on the commonly associated Tiger-traits, such as bravery, courage, and strength.

The Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches system is the basis for the Zodiac system; It features one of five elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Metal, and Earth), applied to Tiger years on a rotating basis. This year is a water Tiger, the first of its kind since 1962.

People born in a water tiger year are thought to be very loyal to the family and have strong relationships with others in their life.

As we celebrate the lunar new year, all three Fishermen’s Finest vessels are in the Bering Sea; AMERICA’S FINEST on trip 1-2022, AMERICAN NO.1 & U.S. INTREPID on trip 2-2022.

Kung Hei Fat Choi - Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year - the year of the Water Tiger!
