10 Years Aleks Grishchuk

On Friday, April 28, 2023, Aleks Grischuk stopped by Fishermen’s Finest Kirkland on his way home* from America’s Finest after four months of work in the Bering Sea.

Kirkland: Ms. Park, CEO, recognizes Aleksandr Grishchuk for 10 years of service to Fishermen’s Finest April 28, 2023

Aleks’ Fishermen’s Finest career started on September 11, 2012 aboard the American No.1 as a fish processor. He joined his brother Michael, who had come aboard a couple of months earlier and worked his way up from processor to freezer plant manager where he worked for four years. At that time, he was promoted to deckhand and ultimately became night deck boss aboard the American No.1

When America’s Finest joined our fleet in 2019, Aleks was asked to come over and set up the new vessel to operate the Fishermen’s Finest way, given his extensive at-sea experience aboard the American No.1. Since that time, he has been a deckhand and relief deck boss / Bosun.

He stopped by to visit with us on his way home* - he resides in Fernadale, Washington (neighbor to Captain Darin VanderPol) and has just purchased a second home in South Carolina. He plans to winter in South Carolina and enjoy the subtropical climate and spend the Summers in Ferndale.

When he is not at sea, Aleks invests in residential properties, upgrading and flipping for a profit. We joked about his real estate tycoon status and he said he also likes to buy and fixup old cars as a hobby.

Enjoy your Omega Seamaster watch, a gift from Ms. Park, for 10-years of service to Fishermen’s Finest. Keep up the good work - we know the sky’s the limit for you and your fishing career - not to mention your side work in residential real estate.

We are proud of you, Aleks, and your future is bright. Keep up the good work and to everyone out there reading this, if you see Aleks on the boat, dock, shipyard, or at the Kirkland Headquarters, please be sure to recognize him for a job well done.
