Kirkland Gala

The Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce held its annual Gala on Saturday night April 23, 2022, at the Bellevue Westin Hotel. It was the first time in more than two years that the event was able to be held in person.

Each year, the Kirkland Chamber holds its Annual Gala, the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization. This year’s theme was the Moulin Rouge Gala, playing homage to the roaring 20’s, when the world had come out of the last pandemic - the Flu Pandemic of 1918.

Kirkland Chamber CEO, Samantha St. John addressed the crowd, “Our largest employer in Kirkland is EvergreenHealth. We are proud to call them both our title sponsor and the presenting sponsor of our annual gala. EvergreenHealth cares for our community, and they walk their talk - both in how they support the larger community, and how they care for each patient that walks through their doors… Thank you to the elected officials that joined us tonight – Rep. Larry Springer, Mayor Penny Sweet, and Councilmember Toby Nixon. Also to the [Kirkland Chamber] staff. Putting together an event like this is no small task. Thank you to Beth Gale, Jen Dean, Maureen Goldsmith, and David Stansel-Garner, as well as our auction chairs, Alicia Quaco and Cherese Bourgoin – and of course – all of the volunteers working here tonight!”

Troy McVicker emceed the event and was awesome as always - you should see his electric-slide (I think he’s done it a time or two - true professional). Also, Chamber President Dallas Stewart addressed the crowd and told of his love for the Kirkland Chamber - the best chamber in the region. There’s a picture below of Dallas and Troy up on the stage.

Over 300 people attended and the results were impressive - the highest-grossing Gala to date! Join us next year or at our next fundraiser - the Peter Kirk Golf Classic in July.
