Thomas Fio 10 Years

On Friday, September 6th, Thomas Fio stopped by Fishermen’s Finest Kirkland and was recognized by Ms. Park for 10 years of service to Fishermen’s Finest.

Ms. Park presents Thomas with a certificate of appreciation and an Omega Seamaster gift.

As is customary at Fishermen’s Finest, we recognize our crew for years of service and dedication. In Thomas’s case, he first was interviewed in our Ballard office on March 14, 2007 (picture below in gallery). He started as a fish processing technician on the US INTREPID and worked throughout the factory during his tenure - finishing up as a case up lead / freezer tech / freezer rat before moving to deck around four years ago.

I was referred to Fishermen’s Finest by my uncle Samoa Teuteu and have been part of the ffamily ever since.
— Thomas Fio

From the factory, Thomas made his way to deck and is currently scheduled to fly up to Dutch Harbor next week to meet the US INTREPID as she offloads/backloads/provisions the vessel for the next trip in the Bering Sea. As Thomas mentioned, he’s part of the ffamily and has worked with other family members aboard the vessel, in addition to long-time foreman Samoa Teuteu (currently factory manager aboard the AMERICAS FINEST), he has also worked with his uncle, Apineru Teutua as well. We like to say that Fishermen’s Finest is made of friends and family.

Thomas brought his nephew, Jeremiah in with him today. Jeremiah hopes to be part of the Fishermen’s Finest Family and we told him, you come from good stock - you have big shoes to fill and we will welcome you in short order to your career at Fishermen’s Finest.

Keep up the good work, Thomas - we are proud to have you as part of the Fishermen’s Finest Family. Enjoy your Omega Seamaster watch, a gift from Ms. Park and wear it with pride - you deserve it.
